Caribbean Days 2016

Caribbean Days 2016

Event Date: August 13, 2016
Event Location: Downtown New West BIA, Columbia Street, New Westminster
Volunteer Sign Up: Thanks to everyone who came out!!

We will be attending the Caribbean Days Festival again this year and would love if you came along with us! It is an annual festival put on by the Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC at North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park on July 23 and 24. Each year the event draws thousands of people looking to parade, dine and socialize at this vivid event.

At the event, watch out for our recycling stations, say hi to our volunteers and please remember to recycle!

At such a busy event, we have the potential to make a huge impact! No experience is necessary and a variety of shifts are available. All equipment as well as refreshments will be provided.

Our Recycling Volunteers attend community events, educate attendees on proper recycling techniques, and show how easy and beneficial recycling and environmental initiatives can be. This is a hands-on position that is open to all ages and abilities; an eye-opening chance to see the change we can all make. Read more about volunteer positions and opportunities.

If you have any questions, please email us at Once signed up, you will receive a confirmation email and final event information will be emailed to you on Wednesday, July 20. Come out with Green Chair Recycling and help lead a ZERO WASTE event!

Thank you in advance and we look forward to having you on our green team!
