Coho Festival 2016

Hey There,

Featuring the Coho Salmon Barbecue, Coho Garden, Coho Kids Park, Coho Run and more, this festival is dedicated to celebrating the returning salmon and environmental protection. Starting off with the 14km Coho run and transitioning to the blessing of the salmon by the Squamish Nation, followed by live entertainment and the Coho barbecue and beverage garden, this event has activities for all ages. The festival fundraisers to assist North Shore stewardship groups’ efforts to build and maintain salmon and other aquatic species and their habitats.

The festival uses all organic, compostable or recyclable materials at this event and strives to be Zero Waste! Let’s help them reach this goal by learning about and using recycling stations. In addition, if you can, please sign up to volunteer as a Recycling Volunteer!

Volunteer

Together we can make an impact! No experience is necessary and a variety of shifts are available. Do one of the days or multiple days! All equipment as well as refreshments will be provided.

Our Recycling Volunteers attend community events, educate attendees on proper recycling techniques, and show how easy and beneficial recycling and environmental initiatives can be. This is a hands-on position that is open to all ages and abilities; an eye-opening chance to see the change we can all make. Read more about volunteer positions and opportunities.
